悶到爆
都市人怕什麼呢？除了怕窮怕病怕死之外，應該數到「怕悶」。點解都市人咁怕悶呢？
「悶」沒有市場
市場上的產品服務，千方百計爭取客人注意。如果該產品服務給人有「悶」的感覺，就一定乏人問津無銷量。結果，「悶」變成沒有市場，「悶」是一種壞評價。如果一套戲被評為悶戲，觀眾會鬧爆割櫈。進修讀書，學生彈阿sir教得沉悶。參加旅行團，旅客彈行程好悶。那本書寫得好悶。「悶」是一種罪名，會接到投訴的。
悶是浪費時間
人人每天得24小時，如果花了時間在悶的人和事上，是十分浪費生命和不值的！與其花時間在悶嘢身上，倒不如拿時間做其他更有趣的事情。這是「機會成本」的道理。最普遍的例子：跟朋友吃飯見悶，便垂頭玩電話，電話提供資訊娛樂，更勝面前這個悶局。拒絕沉悶，不想浪費寶貴時間，改去做其他有意義的事情。
悶令人情緒低落
有人說：「悶會悶出個病來」，即是所謂「屈到病」；情緒影響身體狀況。例如：有人認為返工好悶好悶，放工後要心理平衝一吓，開懷大玩大吃一番！人天生本性追求快樂，所以本能地逃避沉悶。悶人沒有話題，不懂交際、欠缺吹水藝術，身邊的人都避之則吉，結果惡性循環，悶人越來越無人理會，變成了個孤僻「悶精」。
習慣被娛樂
在消費主義主導下，顧客養成了的心態是：「我來消費你便要娛樂我」。每一分鐘都習慣被娛樂。如果面前的人或事缺乏娛樂性，就打個呵欠，立即想走人。相反，如果那人充滿娛樂性，則成為聚會中的焦點，大家乖乖做觀眾，等他提供免費娛樂。
悶的工作、悶的電視、悶的節目、悶的菜式、悶的建築、悶的天氣、悶的環境、悶的情人、悶的人生。人人都怕悶，人人都嗌悶，其實人人日日都嗌悶，本身都已經好悶。
